
From a built form perspective, the triangular plan of the Centre was derived by analyzing pedestrian movement across the site. The profile and general orientation of the building responds to the St. Paul’s Cathedral, creating an interesting dialogue between vastly different architectural philosophies.



For me, this is a great example of designers and City agencies loving their city and treating people with the respect they deserve. I know that may seem like hyperbolic praise for an Information Centre, but when you consider this type of municipal infrastructure in the aggregate sense, you start to see how important all of the pieces – big or small – matter to the whole picture.
